Le Bois de la Garde Chambres d’Hôtes (B&B, Guesthouse)

Le Bois de la Garde Chambres d’Hôtes (B&B, Guesthouse) is a tranquil 18th century farmhouse that lies in the beautiful hills 2 km west of Buffieres in the Saône-et-Loire in Southern Burgundy. We offer a calm and peaceful escape for anyone looking to recharge their batteries.

WE are ourselves vegan but do offer vegetarian breakfasts as well as vegan breakfasts.

We are 16 km west of the beautiful abbey town of Cluny in Southern Burgundy, see the Cluny Tourist office website.

This updated 18th century farmhouse sits on the Grand Randonnée Saint Jacques de Compostelle, and two kilometres down the road is the small, pretty village of Buffières which has  a bar/restaurant and epicerie (corner shop) which serves meals and hosts concerts mainly at the weekends.

We are also only 20 minutes drive from the famous Taizé Community

The local area has some wonderful walks through beautiful countryside suitable for all levels of walkers, which can be accessed literally outside our front door. As well as a host of activities including equestrian, art, dance, music and numerous festivals.

A little further south is the small city of Mâcon.
